My Review – “Google Translate” Website/App

Language barrier may enter your mind if you (American or Westernized man) yearn for a marital relationship with a woman from another country.

But, are you going to let that obstacle grow or end your international bond?

If you pick to continue connecting with her and possibly marry her someday, I would strongly advise you to hire a human translator or matchmaker from the same nation where your potential girlfriend resides. The expert can not only help improve the conversation between you and her but also create mutual respect and feelings for you both as well. Furthermore, you and she are capable of feeling very comfortable through the professional whether you all are together in person or on a video call (i.e. Zoom or Skype). I state these facts/possibilities based on my personal experiences with Elizabeth and 2 ladies (Victoria and Valeria) from her dating agency.

If you prefer to use an electronic translator because it is cheaper, priceless, and/or more comfortable, maybe Google Translate is your solution. Nevertheless, like every existent thing or human being, it is not perfect. Please read my 2 ups and 2 downs of this flawed but popular (besides DeepL) translation app/website so that you can wisely select the best way to strengthen your probable international relationship(s).

Advantage 1 – quickness and simplicity of use

Everyone likes something that is short, simple, pleasant, effective, and/or affordable. Google Translate website or app fits that category. Ergo, millions of people are going to keep using it regardless of its weaknesses and their possibly negative results. Hopefully, some or the majority of them is going to develop solutions and/or write a “plan B” if they face relationship, educational, professional, etc. issues. Otherwise, they can lose something or someone valuable or significant in their lives forever.

Advantage 2 – ability to let users exchange, edit, etc. information

Sadly, when I think of these terms ‘amateur’, ‘mistake‘, ‘cheap’, and ‘imperfect’, Google Translate pops in my mind instantly. You may have a positive outlook toward the website/app like everyone else does because of how straightforward and fast it seems. However, appearances can be misleading. You may, sooner or later, become tired, annoyed, impatient, and/or frustrated with the confusing and unclear translation between your words (in English) and those of a foreign language (i.e. Spanish or Japanese). The good news is that you can evaluate and submit your honest feedback about the unpleasant or dissatisfying translation. In addition, asking or seeking professional support from a linguist or friend who can speak 2+ languages may be necessary for you to help improve the website/app and correct its words from different languages. Above all, your vital task can better your reputation and relationship with the Lord God. He can therefore send a certain person or group of people, who represent His characteristics and actions, to assist you with your future difficulties.

Disadvantage 1 – inaccuracy or failure to correct, enhance, etc. translated words

Politicians, celebrities, other professionals, and the rest of humanity around the globe should use better alternatives such as DeepL, Duolingo, Babbel, and Rosetta Stone if they need/desire to excel on their personal, academic, and business relationships. Not only Google Translate website/app can help you learn and communicate with someone in a foreign language but also the website/app can ruin or cost you that important or special bond with him, her, or them too. According to a blog post from “IngCoInternational.com” website, the website/app should be used for casual or nonprofessional purposes only. In other words, if you just utilize it for conversating with your friends and/or relatives who are bilingual, multilingual, or curious about studying a secondary or subsequent foreign language, then you should have less or no obstacles whatsoever. On the other hand, use a more white-collar website/app (i.e. DeepL or Babbel) in order to obtain more success at school, your job, and/or your potential business. Take your words more seriously especially with total strangers and acquaintances. You would feel much better on the inside if they are willing to give you employment, do business with you, and/or reward you with something else permanently.

It is tempting to frequently use Google Translate because it is now able to interchange or translate words into 243 various languages according to a Wikipedia article. But, always remember that the website/app typically has errors and misconceptions. Unlike a human translator, it cannot:

  • thoroughly explain your words
  • empathize or apologize to you and whoever you communicate once the words are translated wrongfully or inappropriately
  • assist you in restoring or growing your connection with foreigners

So, please have a predilection to spend extra money for a better version of translating your words. Another option is hiring a human translator who can give you an emotional connection too. Despite of your decision, focus on the main goal – taking your personal or professional relationship with foreigner(s) to the next level.

Disadvantage 2 – limit or shortage of words, symbols, options, and so on

There is that phrase “You get what you pay for”. However, in this case regarding Google Translate, you get it free of charge. In return, you can limit or rob yourself of fiscal, business, personal, etc. opportunities if you constantly dwell and use it as your route to “happiness”. Author Wendy Madill of “Localizejs.com” website warns these several ugly facts to whoever frequents and gives much trust to Google Translate website/app:

  • receiving mistaken, misspelled, and/or improper grammar, syntaxes, etc.
  • being embarrassed, ridiculed, etc. on social media, email messaging, and/or text messaging if posting poor/bad words in a language that is unknown or unfamiliar to him or her
  • being charged incorrectly or unfairly for ordering or telling wrong numbers to other people who lack understanding or have no awareness of his or her mistake(s)
  • unintentionally giving wrong or false impressions about someone, something, and/or somewhere culturally
  • losing his or her job, career, and/or business if the person or people (whom he or she miscommunicates) become victimized
  • facing loss of money, possible lawsuit(s), and/or time in jail/prison if he or she accidentally provides unclear/detrimental facts or details to possible customers, visitors, friends, etc. online or offline

Avoid letting Google Translate direct you to a path of misery, confusion, and regret. Expand your knowledge by studying and taking clear and easy notes of 1 or more foreign languages that interest you. Begin with the basics and do well with them by putting essential words (which are converted into foreign language(s)) in alphabetical, etc. order. Once you triumph with that level through more understanding, then move forward to the intermediate and advanced levels with confidence. Apply the same duties with any other subject that bothers or excites you personally or professionally. As a result, you would be more free, relieved, and encouraged to achieve your long-term goals as I am without hesitance.

Conclusion

In general, Google Translate is a fun, free, and friendly website or app that both kids and adults can use for any of their intentions. It educates and encourages them to convert and study words of foreign languages. Collecting details on a physical notebook(s), electronic document file(s), or both can make their language process easier especially if the words are arranged alphabetically or from easy to difficult level.

Google Translate is both a blessing and curse. It promotes unity, respect, and peace to diverse individuals worldwide. The downfall is that the intercultural website/app can lead them to confusion, disappointment, division, and/or retaliation if their terms are misinterpreted unintentionally and automatically. The bottom line is limiting the use of the website/app so that they can focus and depend on other things that can enhance their relationships with each other.

Learning is a gift from God just as international dating is.

Failing or making mistakes is an inevitable part of our mundane nature.

But, moving forward can help us learn from our mistakes and think like the Lord Jesus Christ who does everything flawlessly.

So, turn your attention to Him if you ever have doubts or issues with the popular website/app or something else.

In fact, He has created a variety of human interpreters who can teach you foreign languages step-by-step.

He has also put proficient knowledge and skills within a diversity of engineers/developers who can perform the same task for you and other curious users through DeepL, Rosetta Stone, etc.

Use different alternatives in order to fulfill your feasible wish.

If you are still single and interested in dating or marrying a foreign female, repeat the same action that I have mentioned above.

Then, the blend between your language and hers can guide you and her to something that the Lord God (minus or without any help from human and machine translators) has extraordinarily and exclusively planned for you both.
